This book is what I have been looking for for years. I have battled emotional eating and have tried every diet in the book!!! This book finally gets to the bottom of what my real problem is....emotional eating. For example, I used the journaling and questions about anger and annoyance before Thanksgiving when I would have to be around someone who really pushes all my buttons. I was not only able to not eat my way through the week of Thanksgiving, I have also made some progress in that relationship, thereby easing my need to eat!!!While this is not a diet book in and of itself, it gave me the missing piece to use with the diet I have chosen to work through the non-hunger reasons I eat. I have lost 70 lbs, and am still making progress!! Thank you Barb, for sharing your thoughts with us!!
lost a lot of weight and transformed me. God used her to help US!!!!!!! i was able to say No to all the foods that are not healthy for me, and i was able to say NO to people who wants to see me eat for them to feel better!

This book wasn't really what I expected, it was better. I love the way the different "reasons for eating" was divided into categories. When I want to eat but am not really hungry, I just go to the section i need. I read it, I read the scriptures and I've been able to forego unnecessary eating. i just started using the book so will wait a few months and post an update later. But so far, so good..
Like anything you must do the work of examining why I’m choosing to eat outside of my boundaries that I have set for myself. If you are committed then this book is a must have! Don’t expect over night changes cause it never happens but change will come in many ways.
Excellent little tool for support in using the Word of God to assist anyone with food/eating/weight issues. I bought the paperback and the Kindle (and I also have the free app). I use them all just about daily and am so grateful for the insight and encouragement I have received.
This book really made me think about my eating habits and triggers. I was able to set boundaries for myself. Now every time I think about eating outside of meal times the questions come to mind. It’s all about mindfulness.
This resource for the heat of the battle is JUST what I needed. The Holy Spirit speaks so loudly through the questions posed in this book, it's hard not to come out on top. Honestly, it's like carrying around a pocket counselor when I pull it up on my phone! Thank you Barb so much for writing these questions and tips, and compiling these scriptures! You are changing lives with your work.
