I've been thrilled to "discover" this writer. As technical as Clancy et al, and certainly a student of the machinations of the power structure of our Government. Too bad it's fiction, because we certainly need some real solutions to the problems we've been facing for several administrations. However, if I may dissemble: while dusting the household library shelves the other day, I ran across my 1971 hard cover edition of "Day of the Jackal". Do not confuse the writings of Frederick Forsyth with any of the film adaptations. This is a book for the ages, and has certainly influenced a great number of writers to examine the political intrigues of their nations and periods of history. I feel that Flynn has assumed the mantle woven by Forsyth, and graciously carried it into our present age and location. This is not plagiarism, this is a living tribute to the types and art of excellent writing. I love this series of books, and admire the agility, dexterity and imagination of the writer(s). There are very few writers on my "5 Star" list, these make the cut, and I feel that they will stand the test of time. Thanks for listening to my musings.

I've just recently started reading Vince Flynn on a recommendation and am now a huge fan. I am reading the Mitch Rapp books in order and this is the best so far, although I thoroughly enjoyed the others. It is exciting and fast-paced. A superb read. I felt like I was watching a movie instead of reading a book. I really laughed at the reviewer who said the story line was not plausible. Apparently he is very young or has been asleep since 2001 because I remember like it was yesterday when those amazing heroes took down the plane in Pennsylvania on 9-11 that was heading to destroy the White House -- by Muslims. I live in the DC area so I know how real it was and the panic that ensued. What is most eerie is that this book was published in 1999. Further, people need to remember that these books are fiction and not documentaries. I am looking forward to reading all of Vince Flynn's books and also will read Kyle Mills. RIP Mr. Flynn.

I really enjoy the special ops genre of books and had high hopes that I would get that in this book series. I have thoroughly enjoyed the books by Brad Thor, Brad Taylor and Jack Coughlin and was hoping the Mitch Rapp series would be along the same lines. But that was not the case. Much of this book was spent focusing on the politics and power plays instead of the special ops side. Mitch Rapp was described the CIA's top assassin in the war on terror. In the book he is described as the perfect killing machine. However, most of his time was spent hiding in a closet while the politicians duked it out in the political arena. If you like Tom Clancy, you'll probably like this book. I will say that i thought the book was well written and the characters were well developed. If this was my type of novel, I would likely give it 5 stars.

This is one of the best of the 17 novel series. My favorite of CIA black ops guy, Mitch Rapp. Even though Vince Flynn passed away at an early age, the current author is excellent and in the true manner of Flynn's writing. This series is a true page turner and highly recommended for suspense and thrills. Can't putt the books down until finished then you just want another one to read!! I can picture Aidan Turner (BBC/PBS "Poldark") as Mitch Rapp in a dreamed of future movie - he has the eyes and intensity described as the hero character (besides, he is gorgeous).

Mitch Rapp is the best counter-terrorist operative the CIA has. He has been hunting number one terrorist Rafique Aziz for nearly ten years, coming close several times and sporting a scar on his cheek as a constant reminder. When Rapp sees the opportunity to capture Fara Harut, Aziz's mentor, he takes it. The CIA then uses "cutting edge" measures to extract information from Harut, and find out That Aziz is planning an assault on the White House. Unfortunately, the information come a little late and Aziz is successful in his plan. The president however has made it to his bunker where he hopes to wait until a rescue operation is mounted. The terrorists have wired all entry points with explosives and control 76 hostages. They also jam all communications, cutting the president out of the loop and placing the Vice President temporarily in charge. Enter Mitch Rapp and an Unlikely partner Milt Adams. Together these two are the United States' best bet to end the standoff and free the hostages and the president. To find out if Mitch Rapp is successful in his attempt to save the White House and even the score with his nemesis Rafique Aziz, you'll have to read the book. This book is full of action, political back stabbing, and secret alliances. I very much enjoyed this book. Vince Flynn will be missed very much.

Outstanding writing makes this action adventure thriller almost perfect. In real estate lingo it’s all about location, location, location. Well, for me and books it’s all about the writing, writing, writing. After reading the first three books in the Mitch Rapp series I’ve come to the basic conclusion that Vince Flynn is one incredible author. He formulates riveting and well-structured plots and highlights them with a clever cast of unique characters. In this book the story centers on an assault of the White House. Flynn sets the stage in a clear and engaging manner, and then guides the reader through a well-crafted and creative narrative. Captivating, addicting, exhausting, and oh so delicious. It is top-notch entertainment. Why did I wait so long to read this?

This is the best of the Flynn novels that I have read so far. I read American Assassin and Kill Shot before this. The action is pretty constant throughout and there is an element of mystery and a number of twists in the tale that keep it very interesting. I will definitely be acquiring the next book in the series. As outlandish as the plot seems (terrorist taking over the White House), the author did an excellent job building a case that made it seem plausible. Flynn did a great job with character development. You can't help but build a great disliking for certain persons and, of course, like the hero, Mitch Rapp.

I so appreciate this book: taking the time to teach history as we never heard it taught; sharing both from the heart and the intellect; and laying out side-by-side, as it were, the challenges of our country and our churches, to overcome the fear and oppression of political correctness and double-speak by those who truly have no understanding. Truly a MUST READ by everyone who loves America, who want to see what is really going on in the world today, and those who have a heart for and an ear to hear in prayer.

This book should be required reading in our schools and it’s message sent out by our churches and local governments. The western world is at war at this moment with radical Islam and most citizens are not aware of it. Upon becoming aware of the threat, most Americans would rally to stop the loss of our freedoms and Constitutional heritage. Education and prayer with a revival of faith in God and Jesus Christ can stop the Third Jihad in its tracts but ignorance and spiritual bankruptcy will assist the gradual loss of our freedoms and heritage.

Pastor Michael is from Egypt and he once told how he tried to warn the United Nations in the 1970’s that an attack on the US was being planned. He knew this because these were his people planning the attack. People he was related to, but he was ignored. He is such a wise godly man and has a lot of inside knowledge. I’m looking forward to reading it!

pastor Youssef has done a wonderful job of explaining how Islam became so wide spread. His historical information is well written and explained things I didn't know. The explanation of the spread of islam and current affairs is through and frankly chilling,however he does a great job of reminding us that we have a GOD Who is bigger than allah, and we have a faith that is stronger than islam. I have found myself fearful of what I see happening in the world around me and was grateful to be reminded that I am not to be afraid . I would hope many people will find this book and share it with friends and family.

So I read this book from cover to cover. I was freaking out as Mr. Youssef laid out in detail how everything happening right now is how they do it everywhere they enter and their focus is to bring in sharia law and in detail what that means and yall it's not pretty for our children and grand children. Mr. Youssef being raised from that community tells first hand what it is fo we are not ignorant and uninformed. This book is scary, informative and if you dont read any other book on this subject you must read this one. I read many books on this subject and let me tell you others were long, drawn out boring but this book is short straight to the point and intense. Get the book you wont regret it I promise you it is so worth it.

Ian Hutchinson is a plasma physicist and professor of nuclear science and engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was born in England, educated at Cambridge University, and received his doctorate from Australian National University. His research group explores the confinement of plasmas hotter than the sun's center, aimed at producing practical energy from nuclear fusion reactions, the energy source of the stars. This book gives me the guidance I need to say the rosary with more meaning and more often. I recommend it for any Catholic who is in need of guidance with their life. Non Catholics will learn more about the meaning of the rosary and why it is an essential element in the life of Catholics.

Pope Francis Praying the Rosary provides a contemplative and most enlightening understanding of each mystery of the Rosary. His writings are so full of the Holy Spirit. This is a wonderful Rosary Prayer companion that will benefit all Christians who read it.

Easy to use for Bible readings and Pope Francis' commentary on each of the Mysteries. Beautiful artwork accompanies each Mystery. The Rosary prayers are in the first part for easy reference for anyone who doesn't have them memorized. I'm pleased I got this and will use it, but the price seems high for a little booklet. But the pages are all heavy & somewhat glossy stock, so I wont complain too loudly. Had I seen it inside before buying, read some of the Pope's commentary, I would have bought it anyways, never mind the price.

I love praying the rosary with this guide. It not only provides the mysteries but also gives the pope's thoughts to meditate on for each decade. It's given me a new way to look at the mysteries and that's brought me closer to Christ as a result. I actually miss this booklet if I try to pray the rosary without this booklet so I bought a few more to keep in different places so I won't be without it.

This is a good rosary book, but i have to admit I prefer the one I had before. The pages on the mysteries in this one include snippets of things said during homilies. The previous rosary book I had was more specific and detailed.

I never thought that I would be able to say my rosary with the Pope. Now I can and will always say my Rosary with Pope Francis now andforever...Do your soul a favor. Say the blessed Rosary with the Pope. You will never be sorry that you did......

Insightful guide to praying the Rosary.As a life-long Catholic I've always had a rosary, but not really prayed it faithfully. I still don't as much as I'd like, but want to be able to understand it better as we head into Lent.This guide gives me the understanding I need to pursue my spiritual journey with both Faith and Joy.

This is great guide for praying the rosary! It includes all the basics but also little "extras"- each mystery also has a comment by Pope Francis, Our Lady of Fatima rosary addition, Litanies, etc. The book size is small enough that I keep it in my purse along with my rosary.
